Why Candle Making Works for Team Building

The best team building activities share a few things in common: they're hands-on, they require collaboration, and they produce something tangible. Candle making checks every box.
During The Art of Candle Making, your team will:
- Learn the craft of hand-pouring premium soy candles from scratch
- Choose and blend their own signature scents from our curated fragrance library
- Work side by side in a relaxed, creative environment
- Leave with a custom candle they made themselves — a real, lasting takeaway
It's the kind of experience people actually talk about after. Not because it was forced, but because it was genuinely enjoyable.
About The Art of Candle Making

The Art of Candle Making is a 2 to 3 hour guided candle making workshop led by Emilio Horton, founder of You Me & Emilio — a Latino-owned Dallas fragrance brand with 11 years of experience crafting premium soy candles.
We bring the experience directly to your location — your office, your event space, or a venue of your choice. No need to coordinate transportation or find a studio. We come to you.
Every participant will:
- Receive a full candle making kit with premium soy wax, fragrance oils, cotton wicks, and a vessel
- Get step-by-step guidance through the entire candle making process
- Choose their own scent combination from our fragrance library
- Take home a finished, hand-poured soy candle they created themselves
Perfect for Dallas Corporate Groups

The Art of Candle Making is ideal for:
- Corporate team building events — bring departments together in a creative, low-pressure setting
- Employee appreciation events — give your team a meaningful experience they'll remember
- Company retreats and offsites — add a hands-on activity that breaks up the day
- Client entertainment — impress clients with a unique, memorable experience
- Holiday parties and end-of-year celebrations — a creative alternative to the standard dinner
- New hire onboarding — help new team members connect with colleagues from day one
We've worked with teams of all sizes across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Whether you have 10 people or 50, we'll customize the experience to fit your group.
What Makes This Different from Other Team Building in Dallas
Most team building activities are passive — you watch, you listen, you participate in something someone else designed. The Art of Candle Making is different because every person creates something uniquely their own.
The scent combinations are personal. The finished candle is personal. And the experience of making something with your hands — alongside your colleagues — creates a kind of connection that a conference room activity simply can't replicate.
It's also genuinely relaxing. The process of melting wax, blending fragrances, and pouring candles is meditative in the best way. Your team will leave feeling creative, connected, and calm — not drained.
